STARGAZING -
GUIDED TOUR OF THE SKY

If you want to take a first step in the field of astronomy, wondering what could be hiding above your head, at unimaginable distances, you've come to the right place!

During an evening, I will present the basics of this science, which invites you to dream and philosophy.

What do we really see when we look up at night, but above all, what does a telescope reveal to us?

The animation takes place in two parts:

1. Presentation of the night sky:

- Presentation of the main constellations and stars using a laser beam.

- Basic notions of astronomy. What are stars ? What is a galaxy, a solar system ? What is a shooting star, a comet ? What is the Milky Way ?

- Concepts of distances and time. What is a light year ? How long does a star live ?

- Presentation of the planets of the solar system and their different types.

2. Observation of the objects presented earlier:

Using a powerful telescope, I offer you the direct observation of at least one celestial object of each type (planets, nebulae, star clusters, galaxies, etc.), to present a complete panel of what the universe allows us to contemplate.

The whole gathering lasts around 3 hours, in summer from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Everyone can participate, young and old, you just need curiosity!

And don't forget to dress warmly!
